These terms apply to your use of la-design.ca (the “website”), operated by LA Design Inc., operating as LA Architects & Partners (“LA Design”, “we”, “us”). By using the website, you agree to them.

1. Information only

The website, including our guides and examples, provides general information. It is not legal, engineering or other professional advice, and it does not take your particular property or project into account. Rules vary by municipality and change over time, so please confirm requirements for your property.

2. No architect-client relationship until we agree in writing

Using this website, booking a free call or contacting us does not create an architect-client relationship. That relationship begins only when you and LA Design sign a written agreement describing the services, fees and responsibilities.

3. Fees and estimates

Fees shown on the website are for the early pre-design steps described there, in Canadian dollars, and exclude applicable taxes. Fees for permit drawings and other services are quoted in writing for each project. Any paid pre-design fee is credited as described on our pricing page. We do not guarantee outcomes that depend on municipal or other third-party decisions, including permit approval or timing.

4. Drawings, visualizations and intellectual property

The website content, and all drawings, visualizations, reports and other materials we prepare, belong to LA Design (the Architect) and are protected by copyright. Before a written agreement is signed, concepts and visuals are presented for discussion only, and files are not released. You may not copy, reproduce or use our materials without our written permission. Design visualizations show design intent and may differ from the finished building.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the website unlawfully, to interfere with its operation or security, to attempt unauthorized access, or to copy it in bulk by automated means.

6. Accuracy and availability

We work to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not promise that it is error-free, complete or always accessible.

7. Links to other websites

The website may link to third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LA Design is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the website or reliance on its general information. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Ontario courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
